About Our Committees

CORE VALUES & SERVICE

Be a key supporter of our school’s core values by assisting with R.E.B.E.L.S. rallies on select Thursday mornings, Torch Team events, and service projects such as Can Drive, Truckload of Warmth, and Get Up and Serve.

COUNSELOR SUPPORT

Support our school counselors in their efforts to host monthly Coffee with the Counselor and the yearly Career Day event.

DECORATIONS

Whether you're a DIY pro or just love to brainstorm and get crafty, there's a place for you here. No experience needed—just bring your imagination and we’ll take care of the rest! You’ll help with set designs for the Fall Fundraiser and pitch in on decorations for other fun school and PTO events throughout the year.

EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY

Attend VHELP events like performances, fundraisers, assemblies, and celebrations. Capture both candid and posed moments of students, staff, and special guests to help preserve memories and highlight our vibrant school community

FRONT OFFICE HELPERS

Support our front office staff by providing coverage during school events like R.E.B.E.L.S. Rallies. Volunteers may assist with tasks such as answering phones, checking visitors in and out, and helping things run smoothly while events are underway.

FUNDRAISING

Join forces with our VP of Fundraising to make our fall and spring fundraisers a success! Help plan exciting events, gather and price amazing silent auction items for the Spring fundraiser, and ensure smooth distribution of items after the auction. Your involvement will directly support our efforts to raise funds for the school!

HOSPITALITY

If you enjoy entertaining, decorating, or event planning, this is the perfect volunteer opportunity for you! Work with our Hospitality Committee to serve at various teacher, student, and family events throughout the year.  Events are busy at the start and end of the school year.

KINDERGARTEN WELCOME

Help get our newest REBELS Who Lead excited for their first year of school at VHELP! Volunteers help distribute large inflatable crayons and invitations to incoming kindergarteners each spring.

LEGISLATIVE LIAISON

This volunteer attends the Legislative Round-Table meeting in November and reports back to our community at the following monthly PTO meeting.

LOST AND FOUND

Are you a fan of tidiness and treasure hunts? Help keep our Lost and Found neat, organized, and easy to navigate for families. You'll also box up and donate unclaimed items as needed. It’s a simple way to make a big difference and help lost items find their way home!

MAY DAY PLAY DAY

Help plan and pull off the biggest volunteer event of the year! As a committee member, you’ll assist with organizing activities, serving students in a variety of fun roles, loaning items, or sharing a special talent. It’s an unforgettable blowout event to celebrate our kids on the last day of school!

PARENT BUDDY PROGRAM

Become a resource for parents new to VHELP. Parent buddies act as a personal point of contact to answer questions new families may have regarding our school.

SCHOOL BEAUTIFICATION

Help beautify and maintain the outdoor learning areas at VHELP.

SPIRIT SHOP

Collaborate with the committee and outside vendors to offer VHELP families fun Spirit Wear and merchandise throughout the year. Help with organizing sales, as well as sorting and distributing orders.

STAFF APPRECIATION CART

Show our staff how much we appreciate them with a monthly treat brought to them on our VHELP PTO cart. Once a month, we will provide a special treat and need volunteers to deliver to our wonderful staff members during the day.

YEARBOOK

This committee works closely with the VHELP Yearbook Staff Representative to coordinate the 5th grade dedication ads. You will gather pictures from parents and staff to ensure that the yearbook has a wide variety of students represented in photos.
